Aim and Mission
Pilotage Undergraduate Program is a department affiliated with the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences.

Civil aviation is developing very rapidly today. The aim of the pilotage program is to train pilots who will work in the civil aviation sector to have superior qualifications in the highest level of training and practice environment.

In addition to training experienced and knowledgeable pilots with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge for the aviation industry, the Pilotage Department also aims to train experienced managers and trainers in the field of aviation who can contribute to advanced scientific developments and research regarding the sector.

Pilotage undergraduate program is a branch that has common aspects with many undergraduate programs. This branch has many things in common with undergraduate programs in physics, mathematics, navigation, business, law, human resources and computer information systems.

Job Opportunities
Our graduates will be entitled to receive an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) along with their undergraduate diploma. Graduates of the department will have the opportunity to find employment as pilots in state-owned and private airline companies internationally. The rapid development of the aviation industry shows that the demand for trained experts in this field will be even higher in the future, which is the biggest advantage of department graduates.

The Strengths of the Program

  • Students are trained to master their subjects at the highest level, thanks to the experienced and expert faculty members in the department.
  • Since we see our students as pilots of the future, we aim to raise them as individuals who take responsibility, can make quick and accurate decisions, and adopt a participatory leadership approach from the first day they start working. In this regard, academic studies have been carried out in an environment that will provide this discipline and motivation to our students from the beginning of the program.
  • Pilotage Department is a department open to development and change. The program aims to educate students in the best possible way, thanks to a well-planned four-year curriculum.
  • The laboratories required to carry out the program include a computer laboratory, physics laboratory and simulation laboratory. In addition to laboratories, students receive practical training using training aircraft. For this purpose, our University has 2 training aircraft and it is planned to increase this amount.
  • Our students receive an average of 220 hours of flight training until graduation. (PPL license is obtained in 2nd class, CPL in 3rd class and ATPL license when all flights are completed at the end of 4th class).
  • Our flight training is given at institutions with which our university has agreements. Flight training fees include the cost of practical flight lessons, transportation and accommodation (excluding meal costs).
