Gökmen Dağlı was born on May 17, 1968 in Nicosia. He completed his secondary and high school education at Nicosia Turkish High School in 1986. He graduated from the Department of Management and Organization at the Military Academy in 1990. He also continued his second degree at the Department of Computer Engineering at the Middle East Technical University. He completed his master's degree with a thesis in Educational Administration, Planning, Supervision and Economics in 2004. He completed his doctorate program in Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning and Economics at the Near East University in 2009.
He began his professional career by giving lectures on National Security issues between 1998-2008. Since 2011, he has been the Head of the Department of Educational Administration, Supervision Economics and Planning at the Faculty of Education at the Near East University, and since 2016, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Kyrenia and the Vice Rector. He teaches courses such as Strategic Planning, School Experience, Teaching Principles and Methods, Educational Administration, Introduction to Educational Sciences, Educational Philosophy, Management Theories and Processes, Educational Economics and Planning. Gökmen Dağlı is a member of the referee board in international journals and has many international books, articles and research projects.
